In 2026, Deed Fraud Prevention Fund, Inc. was founded by a coalition of investors, homeowners, lawyers, medical doctors, corporate executives, mortgage bankers, general contractors, electricians, plumbers, architects, engineers, nonprofit professionals, and community leaders who have come together to help STOP deed fraud in New York City.
I am honored to lead this organization and work alongside individuals, government officials, and nonprofit organizations that are committed to protecting New York City homeowners from deed fraud and preserving homeownership, financial security, and generational wealth.
Together, we will work to educate homeowners, raise public awareness, connect homeowners with trusted professional resources, and advocate for stronger laws, policies, and protections against deed fraud.
Our goal is simple: Help protect New York City homeowners, their homes, and the wealth they have worked so hard to build. What Is Deed Fraud?
Deed fraud occurs when criminals use fraudulent documents and filings to unlawfully transfer or steal property from homeowners.
These schemes disproportionately target vulnerable homeowners, especially Black homeowners, placing families at risk of losing their homes, financial security, and generational wealth.
The mission of Deed Fraud Prevention Fund, Inc., a New York City–based nonprofit organization with IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status pending, is to protect New York City homeowners from the devastating consequences of deed fraud through public education, awareness, and access to trusted professional resources.
We empower homeowners with the knowledge and tools needed to recognize, prevent, and respond to fraudulent attempts to steal or unlawfully transfer their property.
We provide referrals to qualified professionals, including attorneys and other service providers, and collaborate with elected officials, government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to advocate for stronger laws, policies, and protections that safeguard property ownership.
Our goal is to help ensure that every homeowner has the information, resources, and support necessary to protect their property and preserve their family's financial security and legacy.
