From Foster Care to Real Estate Fund Manager
Thomas was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
He was abandoned at birth, born addicted to drugs, raised in foster care and group homes, and educated in under-resourced public schools before attending John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY.
His life experiences have shaped his commitment to creating economic opportunities for families and communities that have historically been denied access to capital, property ownership, and wealth creation.
Thomas and his ex-wife are partners in raising their three children—a 20-year-old son and 16-year-old twin daughters.
Thomas is a 57-year-old Christian man who describes himself as a sinner saved by God's grace. Thomas is of Dominican, Puerto Rican, and Haitian descent.
His personal journey—from abandonment and foster care to becoming a real estate professional and fund manager—is central to his commitment to building wealth, creating jobs, expanding property ownership, and creating economic opportunities in Black communities.
